Each module is mapped to the server mod policy. Anything the policy bans is not in the client at all, and anything that needs approval stays off until it is approved.

Cosmetics that actually move
Capes use Minecraft's own cape physics, so they swing and sit over armour exactly like a real cape. Hats follow your head and lift over helmets. Wings flap, spread when you crouch and beat faster when you glide.

CoinsX and VanillaX+
A cosmetics store is planned: CoinsX to buy items with, free coins for signing in each day, and an optional VanillaX+ membership. It is not open yet and there is no date. Everything in the client today is free.

Questions
Can I get banned for using this?
Nothing in VanillaX is a cheat, and every module is checked against the published server mod policy before it can run. That said, no client can promise you anything: each server decides its own rules, and some servers ban things this policy allows. If you play somewhere strict, read their rules first.
Do other players see my cosmetics?
Not yet. Right now cosmetics are drawn on your own player only, on your screen. Showing them to other VanillaX players needs the account server, which is built but not switched on yet.
Do I need a Minecraft account?
To play online, yes, a normal Microsoft or Minecraft account. Signing in with Microsoft inside the launcher is being finished right now; until it is approved by Mojang, the launcher offers an offline mode that works in single player and on offline servers.
Is it safe to install?
The installer is not code signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue warning. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway", or use the portable version. A signing certificate costs money and is on the list.
What does it install on my computer?
The launcher itself, and a copy of Minecraft, Fabric, the VanillaX mod and a Java runtime under your AppData folder. Uninstalling the launcher leaves that folder, so you can delete it yourself if you want the space back.
Which Minecraft version?
26.2 with Fabric. Older versions are not supported.
